Battlebots Bootcamp
A one week summer program where 6th-8th grade students would learn coding for the first time, and end with an original battlebot design. 3D printed trophies were made for battlebots winners (Printer featured in back left). Program overshot every benchmark and expectation, and was hugely successful.
Most battles and designs from the inaugural year can be seen here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/11PIQHN7PMVsik6fkQM9XNN3aO5zS1SHT?usp=sharing

Esports- Athletics Team, Club, and Summer Camps
Through the Athletics Department, I established a new sports team, Esports. Esports has nearly all the benefits of a traditional sport, and has been much more inclusive of fringe groups such as nerodivergent students and has given them an environment to thrive socially. The team succeeded in co-ed inclusivity, with multiple female captains and MVPs, which is almost unheard of in school Esports. In addition to the community building aspects of this new team, we have also had huge tournament success, winning multiple multi state regional tournaments and having huge success in State Playoffs for a wide range of games. This program is my pride and joy!
Computer Workshop
Computer Workshop is a club I created where kids can build PCs, write code, and 3D print. Through this club, I got approval from my direct supervisor to give away a few de-inventoried, deprecated machines to students who had a huge aptitude for computers but did not have acccess to them at home.
Full Time Engineering and CS Teaching
During my first year, I reworked the entire engineering curriculum to work for online students due to Covid. Despite the limitations of online, they created spectacular EDP projects, videogames, 3D models and prints, and artwork. I also established a new Computer Workshop. During my second year, I established the Esports Athletics and Summer programs. During my third year, I attended Computer Science conferences and created and implemented an extremely robust 8th grade Computer Science curriculum, adapted from Seinna Colleges 9th grade Computer Science work. I retooled it to use scratch, which gave kids autosaving on work and social features, at the expense of some higher level functionality (mainly API calls). With nothing left for me to build, I am moving on from this district that I have really come to love, but I do not have any pending projects and I do not enjoy being stagnant! More work samples for old computer science projects can be found on other pages!
